IShowSpeed canceled; it doesn’t come as a surprise.
Recently, Sky Sports and YouTuber IShowSpeed collaborated, but that relationship has abruptly and silently ended. After videos of the former Valorant steamer’s sexist outburst on his Twitch channel from April surfaced online, the channel removed almost all of them from its social media accounts.
Sky Sports engaged IShowSpeed, also known as “Speed,” who has millions of followers on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, to help generate some excitement for the channel’s coverage of the Premier League. Speed read team news alongside seasoned sports reporter Geoff Shreeves in footage posted on Sky Sports’ social media and even in broadcast parts on the channel itself.

Sky executives were apparently made aware of a video of the streamer verbally abusing a female Valorant player back in April of this year. However, that incident was well publicized at the time, and it resulted in IShowSpeed being banned from every Riot game available. He’s already been banned from Twitch for a different sexist outburst, so it’s unclear why it took Sky so long to notice the streamer’s well-documented prior behavior.
At the moment, the Sky Sports Twitter account has only one clip featuring IShowSpeed. The remainder have been secretly deleted from the channel’s platforms, and Sky has decided to cut all relations with Speed in the future. The streamer, a young American, was supposedly solely in the UK to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play, and he was disappointed to hear that the great player was not participating in either of the matches he would attend. His fans will have a lot to say about this matter but the fact remains “IShowSpeed canceled” is the running gig at the moment.
