If you were eager to try out the upcoming RayTracing features for Final Fantasy XV, then you will be disappointed to hear the announcement by Square Enix. This decision came after the departure of the director who was spearheading the entire operations.
The studio has announced that the development of all the upcoming DLCs has been stopped, this includes the promised Ray-Tracing features for those who own the GTX 20xx lineup.
It is important to note that the Ardyn installment pack will still release but the remaining three DLCs are in the dumps. Additionally, features such as Vulkan, modding, and DLSS support have also been dropped.
It is unlikely that Nvidia is going force Square Enix to continue the development of these APIs as it does not affect the performance of its Geforce cards.
