At AMD Capsaicin event at Siggarph 2017 30th July, The company hosted on spot Ln2 overclocking competition where an overclocker called  Alva ”LUCKY_NOOB” Jonathan, who managed to push the new Threadripper 1950X up to almost 5.2GHz on LN2 and achieve a Cinebench R15 score of 4122 points. Since Alva had to use  memory speed of 2133MHz, We can expect better scores with fastest memory.
This score is new world record on 16-core CPU priced at 999$ made up of Ryzen IPC. Shows that there is a lot of overclocking potential in AMD’s Threadripper HEDT CPUs.
