According to the overclockers on Chiphell, AMD is going to release their second-gen entry level budget Ryzen 3 processors. The second-gen was a huge success for AMD they’ve refined their ZEN arcitecture by quite a lot. We also expect a Ryzen 5 2500X to be releases, there have been leaks centered around the Ryzen 5 2500X and Ryzen 3 2300X, both of which made an appearance on Geekbench earlier this month.
To recap, the Ryzen 3 2300X is a 4-core/4-thread processor based on AMD’s Zen+ architecture base clock of 3.5GHz, however Geekbench results last month revealed that the chip boost towards 4 GHz, making these interesting quad-core processor in the value segment but now it’s look like boost clock is 4.2GHz actually based on the newly leaked screenshots.
The CPU has been tested in CPU-Z and also Cinebench R15. The new Ryzen 3 2300x has been overclocked up to 4300+ at 1.39V which is impressive and leaving Intel i5 7600K miles behind also in IPC.
The TDP is listed at 65 watts and the Cinebench R15 multi-threaded benchmark shows a score of 690 points for the 2300X, which is actually slightly above the Core i3 8350K territory.
- AMD Ryzen 3 2300x – 690CB
- Intel i3 8350K – 669CB
- Intel i5 7600K – 643CB
- Intel i3 8100 – 566CB
- Ryzen 3 1300x – 515CB
